Premium Red Wines
Chateau Dorrien Premium Red Wines are hand made in a refined style using oak ageing and quality fruit sourced from vineyards in and around the area of the Hoffnungsthal Valley (Valley of Hope) which is situated at the base of the Barossa Range about 2 kilometers east of the Township of Lyndoch (Southern Barossa).
Chateau Dorrien does not release consecutive vintages of the Premium Range unless they meet our high-quality standards of strong varietal definition and well-integrated use of oak characters
The local Peramangk People called this area Yertalla-ngga (flooding land) and our Vineyards here enjoy the nourishment given by that flooding in the form of deep and rich alluvial soils.
Fruit is also sourced from the 100 year old, Dry Grown, Cabernet Sauvignon Vineyard co-located with the Cellar Door in the Dorrien region of the Barossa Valley.
